Cheesey Biscuit Bread
This is Red Lobster's Cheese Biscuits done in a loaf pan
Equipment
- 9x5x3 Loaf pan
- Mixing bowls
Ingredients
- 3 Cups All purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Salt
- ⅛ tsp Pepper
- ¼ tsp Cayenne pepper
- 4 oz Cheddar cheese Cut into ¼ inch cubes
- 1¼ Cup Milk
- ¾ Cup Sour cream
- 3 Tbsp Unsalted butter Melted
- 1 Egg Beaten
- Vegetable oil For pans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Grease 9×5 loaf pan with oil.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk first 5 ingredients together.
- Carefully stir in cheese cubes until covered with flour mixture. This will help prevent the cheese from sinking to the bottom.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients.
- Fold the wet mixture into the dry & stir until combined. (Do not over mix)
- Spread dough into loaf pan.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes.
