Cheesey Biscuit Bread

This is Red Lobster's Cheese Biscuits done in a loaf pan

Equipment

  • 9x5x3 Loaf pan
  • Mixing bowls

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups All purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • tsp Pepper
  • ¼ tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 4 oz Cheddar cheese Cut into ¼ inch cubes
  • Cup Milk
  • ¾ Cup Sour cream
  • 3 Tbsp Unsalted butter Melted
  • 1 Egg Beaten
  • Vegetable oil For pans

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • Grease 9×5 loaf pan with oil.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk first 5 ingredients together.
  • Carefully stir in cheese cubes until covered with flour mixture. This will help prevent the cheese from sinking to the bottom.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients.
  • Fold the wet mixture into the dry & stir until combined. (Do not over mix)
  • Spread dough into loaf pan.
  • Bake for 40-50 minutes.
