Paula’s Christmas Cookies
Equipment
- Stand mixer
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Unsalted butter
- 1½ Cup Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 4 Tbsp Milk
- 1 tsp Almond extract
- 1 tsp Grated lemon peel
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 4½ Cup Flour
Instructions
Make the dough
- Let butter come to room temperature
- In stand mixer, cream together butter and sugar
- Add eggs one at a time until combined
- Add milk, almond extract, & lemon peel
- Blend in flour and baking powder gradually
- Chill dough overnight
Baking the cookies
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Roll out dough to ⅛ inch thickness (Note: Keep unused dough cool in refrigerator)
- Cut out cookies and place on cookie sheet
- Bake for 8-10 minutes
