Apple Cranberry Pie

Equipment

  • 9" Pie pan
  • Cookie cutters

Ingredients

  • 1 Double pie crust
  • ¾ Cup Brown sugar Packed
  • Cup Sugar
  • Cup All purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 6 Cups Apples
  • 2 Cups Cranberries
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • Milk
  • Course Sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F
  • Core and skin apples. Cut into slices.
  • Place one of the crusts into pie pan. User cookie cutter to make shapes of the other crust.
  • In a large bowl, toss together the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and sugar.
  • Add apples and cranberries to mixing bowl. Toss to coat fruit with dry mixture.
  • Turn filling into pie pan.
  • Dot mixture with butter.
  • Arrange cutout over the top of pie, leaving space between to see pie filling.
  • Brush edges of pie and cutouts with milk and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
  • Place in oven.
  • After about 30 minutes cover pie and crust. Cook for approximately 30 more minutes
