Preheat oven to 375°F
Core and skin apples. Cut into slices.
Place one of the crusts into pie pan. User cookie cutter to make shapes of the other crust.
In a large bowl, toss together the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and sugar.
Add apples and cranberries to mixing bowl. Toss to coat fruit with dry mixture.
Turn filling into pie pan.
Dot mixture with butter.
Arrange cutout over the top of pie, leaving space between to see pie filling.
Brush edges of pie and cutouts with milk and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
Place in oven.
After about 30 minutes cover pie and crust. Cook for approximately 30 more minutes
