Southern Apple Cream Pie

This is one of my favorite desserts. Amazing when fresh and even better after cooling in the refrigerator.

Southern Apple Cream Pie

Equipment

  • 9" Pie pan

Ingredients

Filling

  • 1-⅓ Cups Sugar
  • 3-½ Tbsp Flour
  • 1-¼ Cups Sour cream
  • 2 Eggs Beaten
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 3 Cups Apples Chopped

Topping

  • ¾ Cup Sugar
  • ½ Cup Flour
  • 1-¼ tsp Cinnamon
  • 6 Tbsp Unsalted butter Melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • In mixing bowl, blend sugar and flour.
  • Add sour cream, eggs, vanilla, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  • Add apples and blend well.
  • Pour into pie shell.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from oven, sprinkle on topping, and back for 10 more minutes
