Buttermilk Drop Biscuits

- Drop biscuit pan
Ingredients
- 2 Cups All purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp Baking powder
- ¼ tsp Baking soda
- 2 tsp Sugar
- ½ tsp Cream of tartar
- ¼ tsp Salt
- ½ Cup Unsalted butter (I use a little extra butter to use in pan)
- 1-¼ Cups Buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°. Place biscuit pan in oven to get it hot.
- In mixing bowl, stir together dry ingredients.
- Cut in butter with a fork or pastry blender to course crumb stage. (I just use my hands to mix it in).
- Add buttermilk and stir until just blended. Should be quite lumpy.
- Remove pan from oven and spray with PAM or melted butter.
- Drop dough into pan filling each section.
- Bake about 30 minutes or until brown on top.
