This was my dad’s recipe originally, but I have made some changes to make it my own.
Chuck’s Texas Style Chili
Ingredients
- 3 lb Ground beef We sometimes mix turkey breast and beef
- 15 oz Tomato sauce
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 tsp Tabasco Or Sriracha
- 3+ Tbsp Chili powder
- 1+ Tbsp Oregano
- 1+ Tbsp Cumin
- 2 Onions Chopped
- Garlic
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp Paprika
- JalapeƱo peppers Or whatever kind you like to taste
- 1-2 Cans Pinto beans Or whatever you like
Instructions
- Cooke onion and ground meat until browned.
- Drain out excess fat/oil
- Add all of the remaining ingredients and simmer for ~1 hour, stirring occasionally.
