Jimmie’s Red Hot Apples

Equipment

  • 8" Cast iron skillet

Ingredients

  • ½ Stick Unsalted butter
  • 1 Cup Brown sugar
  • ¼ Cup Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Cinnamon Red Hots
  • Apples Enough to fill 8" skillet

Instructions

  • Melt butter in skillet.
  • Wash and slice apples into the skillet. (I peal them)
  • Cover with sugar and start cooking on low heat, stirring often.
  • Mixture will start to make its own juice.
  • Cook until tender.
  • Stir in Red Hots to add color and flavor.
  • Serve hot or cold.
