Overnight Carmel French Toast

Equipment

  • 9×13 Baking dish (3 quart)

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Brown sugar Packed
  • ½ Cup Unsalted butter
  • 2 Tbsp Light corn syrup
  • 12 Slices Bread
  • 6 Eggs Beaten
  • 1-½ Cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • ½ tsp Salt

Instructions

The night before

  • Combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup in sauce pan.
  • Cook over medium heat until thick.
  • Pour mixture in 9×13 baking disk.
  • Place bread in baking dish in layers.
  • Combine eggs, milk, vanilla, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  • Stir togerher until well blended.
  • Pour mixture over bread.
  • Cover and chill for 8 hours.

Breakfast time

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Scoop out with spatula and flip onto plate
