Jimmie’s Red Hot Apples
From A Skillet Full
Equipment
- 8" Cast iron skillet
Ingredients
- ½ Stick Unsalted butter
- 1 Cup Brown sugar
- ¼ Cup Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Cinnamon Red Hots
- Apples Enough to fill 8" skillet
Instructions
- Melt butter in skillet.
- Wash and slice apples into the skillet. (I peal them)
- Cover with sugar and start cooking on low heat, stirring often.
- Mixture will start to make its own juice.
- Cook until tender.
- Stir in Red Hots to add color and flavor.
- Serve hot or cold.
